Beech
(Fagus Sylvatica)

A species, which is prevalent in Northern European countries. It produces a very hard wearing timber which varies from a creamy pink to subtle light browns with reddish tinges. Largely straight grained but with attractive rays within it. Dimensional stability is this timber’s weakest trait. Takes oil, stains and polyurethane finishes equally well.
