Ash
(Fraxinus Excelsior)

A light coloured timber with a beautifully distinctive straight grain pattern. Light brown to pale yellow almost white in colour. Slightly softer than oak and elm but durable enough for domestic and commercial flooring. White Ash (Fraxinus Americana) is harder wearing than Black Ash (Fraxinus Nigra). Stable and durable. Takes oils and polyurethanes well and light coloured stains.
