Black Cherry
(Prunus Serotina)

A wonderfully colourful wood with vibrant reds, oranges and pinks within the heartwood, varying to a milky white in the sapwood. This is a gorgeous looking floor when oiled, as the oils bring out the natural colours within the timber. This is grown in Canada, United States and most of Central America. Its graining is varied from straight to swirls giving the floor a warmth that no other timber can come near. It is very stable and has the same sort of durability characteristics as Walnut.
